The team is working on the implementation of the Precision Electrochemical Machining method to optimize Sikorsky’s current manufacturing practices while adhering to complex geometries required to meet company standards. In addition, the team is introducing innovative technology to create new and unique geometries to fundamentally change how Sikorsky designs gear boxes to make them stronger, lighter, and more compact. The project's outcome will put Sikorsky in a position to optimize their current processes to become more cost competitive while maintaining the highest quality in the industry.
