The project entails designing a one-mile water main for the Town of South Windsor to provide an operationally redundant supply line for residents. The watermain design includes crossing the Podunk River. This project will evaluate the primary design alternative for the river crossing that will be incorporated into the final water main design, as well as investigate secondary alternatives for the crossing. The design will follow Metropolitan District Commission (MDC) standards and meet the local, state, and federal regulations. A 30% design document will be prepared.
