Due to redevelopment happening in New Haven, the road bridge going across Court St. and over the New Haven, Connecticut State Street Station is required to be redesigned. Due to low vehicle traffic and high pedestrian traffic, the road bridge is going to be turned into a pedestrian bridge to better serve the needs of the city. Our group is responsible for providing an alternative study of the new pedestrian bridge, which will require designing the horizontal and vertical layouts, structural design, aesthetics and constructibility of the new bridge to be installed.
