Energy Reduction Study, Endfield Armory
This joint Mechanical and Electrical Engineering senior design project focuses on conducting an energy reduction study for the Connecticut National Guard's Enfield Armory. The primary objective is to identify, design, and recommend strategies to lower the facility's overall energy consumption, which includes researching current energy usage and costs, proposing higher-efficiency components and building improvements, and evaluating the feasibility of alternative energy sources like solar, wind, or fuel cells. The final deliverables will involve down-selecting the most promising approaches based on cost and impact, designing the recommended system with projected savings, and providing a complete report with all analyses and models to the sponsor.
