Experimental and Analytical Investigation of Bolted Joint Loosening Due to Vibration

The objectives of this project are to design a simple test machine to investigate bolt loosening under lateral vibration and use the data to develop an analytical model that identifies key parameters that would predict the potential for loosening (reduction in preload).
