Lake Mark Hydropower
The goal of the lake mark hydropower project is to install a turbine-generator system in order to produce electricity for sale back to the power grid. Some of the ME engineering challenges involve material selection, water flow characteristics, and general system construction. Some of the ECE team's engineering challenges include power permit acquisition info., creating a proof-of-concept that parallels the real system, and component selection for the final design.
Our team collaborated with Mechanical Engineering 33 on this project.
