Our goal is to incorporate an infrared sensor into the housing of a Linemaster footswitch. The sensor will be able to detect objects above the switch to communicate to the user each switches function as well as prevent false triggers. Additionally we will research, design, and fabricate the proper housing for the sensor to optimize its utilization and make it waterproof to an IP68 standard.
