Site Facility Repowering from 24kV Output of Main Generators at Millstone Power Station
Currently, the Millstone Nuclear Power Plant relies on an external grid connection to supply power to its non-essential loads, including lighting, heating, and cooling systems. The objective of this project is to develop a conceptual design for an on-site facility supply circuit that utilizes the existing 24kV generator outputs from Unit 2 and Unit 3, redirecting that power back into the site's distribution system. Upon project completion, the team will deliver three key outputs: a schematic one-line drawing illustrating the proposed supply circuit configuration, a load evaluation, and a detailed equipment breakdown. The equipment breakdown will include technical specifications for all major components required for procurement during the implementation phase, such as circuit breakers and transformers.
