ME 05 is tasked with designing, building, and testing an ultra-clean small testing environment for ASML. We were given the option of creating our own enclosure or modify an existing structure. The working area is cleaned by a closed loop air filtration system, powered by an in-line duct fan, that moves air throughout the box. In our setup air enters the box from the top, and exits through the bottom. Another design factor we had is the implantation of an airlock/grey area used to move material and equipment in and out of the box without exposing the entire working area to the dirty environment.
