MindCare: Personalized Mental Health Monitoring and Support Platform
Many individuals struggle to access consistent mental health support due to high costs, limited availability of care, and the social stigma surrounding seeking help. These barriers often lead people to manage their emotional well being alone, which can result in increased stress, decreased academic or work performance, and an overall reduced quality of life. MindCare aims to address this challenge by providing a secure, accessible, and supportive platform that encourages daily reflection while bridging the gap between self care and professional support. The application allows users to track their mood, journal their thoughts, and identify emotional patterns over time. An integrated chat feature provides cognitive behavioral therapy inspired strategies such as mindfulness exercises and grounding techniques to support users in real time. To ensure user safety, the platform includes crisis detection safeguards that can identify high risk language and direct users to appropriate resources when needed. Beyond self guided support, MindCare introduces a therapist client system that enables users to connect with assigned therapists, schedule appointments, and receive structured care. Therapists can manage their own client roster, review appointments, and prepare for sessions while maintaining strict data privacy boundaries. An administrative layer further supports the platform by managing users, monitoring safety events, and providing system level analytics. MindCare is designed with role based access control to protect user data while enabling scalable professional involvement. By combining accessible self care tools with optional professional support, MindCare empowers individuals, especially students, to take an active and informed role in managing their mental health.
