To prevent corrosion-related failures in these locks, we are testing four material-based solutions: barrier coatings, metallic plating, alternative alloys, and grease interfaces. The project requires a solution that effectively blocks moisture and oxidation but does not interfere with the lock's mechanical wear or significantly change the unit cost. We need a reliable, cost-effective fix that can be implemented on the production line immediately.
