Redesigning Commercial Ride-on Cars to Serve as Therapeutic Tools for Children with Cerebral Palsy
Our goal is to redesign ride-on toy cars for children so they can be used as physical therapy devices for pediatric patients with Cerebral Palsy. Joystick modifications include tension devices, as well as the ability to choose how to control the car - either with one or both joysticks. Safety has also been considered, with the addition of proximity sensors and a more reliable restraint system.
