This project utilized 3D printing to design a working prototype of a rapid lyme disease tick tester scalable to mass production via injection molding. Multiple design configurations were tested and iterated upon to reach the final version of the device. The final design, printed in two different methods using different polymers, is able to sufficiently machinate tick analogues, successfully utilizes liquid displacement to introduce fluid to the immunoassay sample pad in a contained environment, and is simple to operate.
